Frank Gardner, PhD, ABPP

Frank Gardner received his Ph.D. in Combined Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University, is a NYS licensed psychologist and has been awarded Board Certification in Clinical Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology. Dr. Gardner was Professor of Psychology and Director of the PsyD program in Clinical Psychology at La Salle University, later Professor of Psychology and founding director of the PsyD program in Combined School and Clinical Psychology at Kean University and was Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine and Director of Child and Adolescent Psychology Education and Training at Mt. Sinai-St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital prior to joining the Touro community. Currently, Dr. Gardner is Associate Dean, School of Health Sciences, at Touro College and University System, and Professor of Behavioral Medicine in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Gardner has published widely and is internationally recognized for his research and practice in the areas of sport psychology, mindfulness based interventions, and anger and violence research and treatment. He was the founding editor-in chief of the Journal of Clinical Sport Psychology, is currently on several scientific journal editorial boards, and has been consulting psychologist for a number of professional sport organizations.
