Physical Therapy

We bring the clinic to the classroom.

Where you choose to go makes all the difference. Some of the best prepared and most sought-after physical therapists are Touro trained. Our reputation of excellence is reflected in the 100% employment rate achieved by our students. Many students are inspired to come to Touro after being treated by or volunteering for a physical therapist who was a Touro graduate. They come because they’re compassionate and want the skills to help others get back to living the lives they want. They come for the outstanding faculty – accomplished clinicians and educators – who are as invested in their success as they are.

The Physical Therapy Department offers three different programs:

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is a three-year, dual-degree program that leads to both a bachelor of science (BS) in health sciences and a clinical doctorate in physical therapy (DPT).

The Post-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy Program allows US-licensed physical therapists to fill in the gaps between their professional baccalaureate or master's degree PT education and current professional DPT degree education.

The Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency offers a specialization in orthopedics to licensed physical therapists.
