Biography

Dr. Hagerty joined the nursing department faculty in 2017 after teaching for several years at both Pace University and New York University. In addition to her duties as lecturer and course coordinator for senior-level medical surgical nursing courses, Dr. Hagerty serves on the admissions, and curriculum committees as well as the chair of the student affairs committee. Dr. Hagerty began her nursing career as a staff nurse at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center on the women’s health unit. After obtaining her master's degree from New York University in midwifery, Dr. Hagerty joined NYU as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the undergraduate nursing program, before serving as the Director of Nursing for Maternal Child Services at NY Methodist Hospital. Prior to joining Touro’s nursing faculty Dr. Hagerty was a Clinical Associate Professor at Pace University
