[Karrie Lindeman] At Touro, we are really working on making the future of applied behavior analysis bright. So we're looking at taking future behavior analysts and training them

[Karrie Lindeman] not just to be good in the classroom, but good out in the real world where they're impacting families and clients in a much larger magnitude.

[Faye Walkenfeld] Applied behavior analysis is an approach that is used by clinicians to work with people who have some problem behaviors.

[Karrie Lindeman] So a behavioral analyst would be writing the behavior plans. They may be getting down on their hands and knees and working directly with the client. They may be then training the family and the community stakeholders to be able to implement that plan. So it's less about a talk therapy approach and more about doing.

[Faye Walkenfeld] Our professors, our faculty are all clinicians. They're all working in the field. They bring a lot to the classroom, and our students come out really with a very enriched education. One of the big selling points of our analysis program is that you have a choice of either being on campus or being online.

[Karrie Lindeman] The advantage of flexibility is that it accommodates our work schedule. Working in this field, we are working for various hours, so it accommodates the busy student who may not have a set 9–5. Students go on to work in schools. Some of them go into early intervention. Some of them work in clinics, hospitals. It is a job that will never bore you.

[Karrie Lindeman] It's a fascinating science and one that is actively in need of good clinicians that actually care about supporting the field in an ethically appropriate manner.
