Making the Transition from Adult Rehab to Pediatrics
A continuing education workshop for alumni and clinical instructors.
This course will provide a beginning orientation and overview to the process of making the transition from the adult rehabilitation setting to the school-based setting. Important considerations and helpful guidelines will be provided in order to learn about the school setting and how best to make a smooth transition. An overview of the theoretical bases for pediatric conditions and interventions will be provided as well. Additionally, this course will provide a beginning overview detailing pragmatic steps and guidelines that will assist the therapist in managing the daily work and documenting practices in the school setting.
