Speech-Language Pathologist SLP - School Based - All NYC

Speech-Language Pathologists provide services to students based on their individual needs and service plans, using their professional judgment and clinical expertise to support speech, language, fluency, social communication, and other communication-related skills within the educational environment.

This is an opportunity offering access to school-based assignments throughout NYC.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with applicable service plans, professional standards, and school requirements.
• Develop and implement individualized therapeutic interventions based on each student's needs and goals.
• Use professional judgment and evidence-based speech-language pathology practices when providing services.
• Support students in areas including speech clarity, receptive and expressive language, fluency, and social communication.
• Document services, student progress, and required clinical information accurately and timely.
• Collaborate, as appropriate, with teachers, families, and other professionals involved in supporting the student.
• Participate in meetings or consultations related to students receiving services when required for an accepted assignment.
• Maintain all professional licenses, certifications, documentation, and credentials required to provide services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current New York State licensure and registration, or eligibility to practice as a Clinical Fellow under applicable New York State requirements.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation and comply with applicable professional and school-based requirements.
• Pediatric or school-based speech-language pathology experience is preferred.
• Clinical Fellows (CFs) welcome!
