State Licensure
Touro’s DPT program is a CAPTE accredited DPT program and meets the educational requirements to sit for a licensure exam in all 50 states. Accordingly, graduates of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program are eligible to sit for the National Licensing Examination, offered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT). Graduates can then apply for physical therapy licensure, which is required to practice physical therapy in any state. Acceptance into the DPT Program is not a guarantee of licensure. Graduates must meet the requirements and standards of accrediting organizations or state licensing bodies.
