Rita Roitman is full time faculty in the department of Speech and Communication at Touro University in Brooklyn, New York and a Clinical Supervisor at the Touro College Speech and Hearing Center. She completed her undergraduate and master’s degree education in Speech-Language Pathology at Long Island University-Brooklyn campus in 1997 and 1999 consecutively. She serves as instructor for many of the undergraduate speech courses and is an academic advisor for undergraduate students in the Department of Speech and Communication.

Prof. Roitman holds certification by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association in Speech Pathology and is licensed as a Speech Pathologist in New York State. Academic areas of interest include: pediatric and adult language disorders, dysphagia and foreign and regional accent reduction. Areas of clinical focus have included pediatric speech and language disorders, adult neurogenic communication disorders, dysphagia, and augmentative communication.
