Contact
Jennifer Tokash is an occupational therapist, educator, and leader with over 28 years of experience in clinical practice, rehabilitation leadership, and academic instruction. She currently serves as the Interim Director of the Post-Professional OTD Program, Interim Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, and Associate Professor at Touro University, where she champions interprofessional and experiential education within inclusive learning environments.
Jennifer is passionate about bringing people together—she naturally finds common ground and cultivates collaborative spaces where diverse perspectives are valued. She believes that working together is not only more effective, but also more energizing and innovative than working in isolation.
Her scholarly work centers on interprofessional, occupation-based practice and peer teaching across health professions, exploring how shared learning builds both competency and relationships that support real-world collaboration.
As an AOTA Fieldwork Educator Certificate Program (FWECP) instructor, NYSOTA Communities of Practice Liaison, and MOTEC Educational Subcommittee Chairperson, Jennifer works across institutional and state levels to shape the next generation of health professionals. Her professional service also includes leadership in the Promote OT Initiative for the State of New York, as well as serving as an AOTA Abstract Reviewer and NYSOTA Conference Committee member.
Jennifer’s work is rooted in the belief that human connection drives creativity, strengthens teams, and leads to better outcomes for all. She has received recognition for her contributions through NYSOTA’s Merit Award for Service and the Dean’s Award for Teaching at Pace University. She has presented regionally and nationally on topics including peer teaching, interprofessional simulation, academic advising, student success, and leadership.
