Inessa Vilkher, M.S., CCC-SLP, TSHH
Inessa Vilkher is the Clinical Director at Touro University Graduate Program in Speech Language Pathology and Speech and Hearing Center. In her capacity as an assistant professor, she teaches graduate courses. She has taught undergraduate courses for the Communication Development and Disorders department in Lander College for Women and Lander College for Arts of the Touro University network. She provided clinical supervision for graduate students and served as a student advisor and a thesis mentor to undergraduate students enrolled in the Honors program.
Professor Vilkher received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from CUNY Brooklyn College. She is currently pursuing her EdD from Touro University Nevada. Professor Vilkher has over 20 years of experience in the field of Speech Language Pathology, specializing in pediatric speech, language and feeding disorders, with experience in myofunctional therapy and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has worked in Brookdale Hospital, NY and SUNY Downstate Medical Center, NY, where she launched a NICU feeding program in 2019. She has also provided diagnostic and treatment services for the Early Intervention and Preschool populations with a variety of communication disorders and delays.
Professor Vilkher is bilingual in Russian and English. She focuses on multicultural and interdisciplinary approaches to assessment and treatment. She holds ASHA certification (CCC-SLP), New York State licensure (NYS-SLP) and New York State certification as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH).
