Inessa Vilkher is a professor at Lander College for Women in New York City, part of the Touro University network. She teaches a variety of undergraduate courses for the Communication Development and Disorders department. She supervises student clinicians in the Speech Language Pathology graduate program at Touro University School of Health Sciences. Additionally, she is also active as a student advisor to students enrolled in the undergraduate program and a thesis mentor to students enrolled in the Honors program.

Professor Vilkher received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from CUNY Brooklyn College. She is currently pursuing her EdD from Touro University Nevada. Professor Vilkher has over 20 years of experience in the field of Speech Language Pathology, specializing in pediatric speech, language and feeding disorders, with experience in myofunctional therapy and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has worked in Brookdale Hospital, NY and SUNY Downstate Medical Center, NY, where she launched a NICU feeding program in 2019. She has also provided diagnostic and treatment services for the Early Intervention and Preschool populations with a variety of communication disorders and delays.

Professor Vilkher is bilingual in Russian and English. She focuses on multicultural and interdisciplinary approaches to assessment and treatment. She holds ASHA certification (CCC-SLP), New York State licensure (NYS-SLP) and New York State certification as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH).
