Education

Dr. Asner-Self earned her doctorate from The George Washington University (GWU) in 1999, and is currently licensed in the state of Illinois (LCPC). She was the recipient of the 2008 Deanna Hawes Outstanding Mentor Award (North Central ACES) and has mentored numerous junior faculty in areas including counselor education, curriculum and instruction, and higher education and administration at SIU.
