Dr. Caroline Trustey Zack earned a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from the University of Notre Dame, a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in addiction from Marquette University, and a doctorate in Counseling and Counselor Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Clinically, she has worked in outpatient substance use treatment centers, an inpatient hospital setting, community practice, and secondary and postsecondary school counseling centers. Dr. Trustey Zack's research focuses on defining "success" in substance use disorder and mental health treatment, with particular attention to the secondary effects of treatment that occur alongside reductions in substance use.
