Dr. Menachem "Mendy" Kiwak is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York and an assistant professor in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Touro University. He maintains a clinical practice serving individuals, couples, and families. His areas of clinical focus include anxiety, depression, mood-related concerns, relationship and marital difficulties, parenting challenges, and personal growth. His clinical approach integrates evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions.
Dr. Kiwak earned his Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of the Cumberlands and his master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. As a counselor educator and clinician, he is committed to helping future counselors integrate sound clinical knowledge, ethical practice, cultural responsiveness, and practical counseling skills. He is particularly dedicated to supporting students as they develop their professional identities and prepare to provide compassionate, effective mental health services.
