Irina Vaynshteyn

Dr. Irina Vaynshteyn is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Program in Speech Language Pathology. She earned her B.A. and M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from Brooklyn College/CUNY, and her Ph.D. in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University. Dr. Vaynshteyn's research interests include second language learning and formulaic language acquisition in children and adults. Her teaching and clinical experience is in the areas of early language development, language disorders, and speech sound disorders. Dr. Vaynshteyn has provided diagnostic and therapeutic speech and language services for the Early Intervention, Pre-school, and School-aged population. Dr. Vaynshteyn holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and she is licensed by New York State. She is certified as a Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) and as a Bilingual Speech and Language Pathologist.
